Medicare Doesn’t Have to Be Confusing
Get personal solutions from a licensed Medicare broker who will help you understand your options and find coverage that fits your doctors, prescriptions, healthcare needs, and budget.
Let’s Make Medicare Easier
Whether you are approaching Medicare, preparing to retire, losing employer coverage, or reviewing your current plan, we are here to help you understand your options.
Original Medicare
Medicare Part A helps cover inpatient hospital care, while Part B helps cover many doctor visits, outpatient services, and medical services.
Medicare Advantage
Medicare Advantage, also called Part C, is another way to receive your Medicare benefits through a private Medicare-approved insurance company. Many plans include prescription drug coverage and may offer additional benefits.
Medicare Supplement Insurance
Also known as Medigap, Medicare Supplement insurance works alongside Original Medicare and can help pay certain out-of-pocket costs that Original Medicare does not pay.
Prescription Drug Coverage
Medicare Part D helps pay for covered brand-name and generic prescription drugs.
Prescription coverage may be included in a Medicare Advantage plan or purchased as a separate Part D plan for someone enrolled in Original Medicare.
Each plan has its own covered drug list, pharmacy network, premiums, deductibles, and prescription costs.

When can you enroll or change plans?
You may be able to enroll when you first become eligible for Medicare, during certain annual enrollment periods, or after qualifying life events such as retiring, moving, or losing other coverage.
Medicare’s Annual Enrollment Period generally runs from October 15 through December 7. Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment generally runs from January 1 through March 31 for people already enrolled in a Medicare Advantage plan. Special Enrollment Periods may apply in certain situations.
New to Medicare
Turning 65 or preparing to retire? We can explain when to enroll, what Medicare covers, and which decisions you need to make.
Already on Medicare
Your doctors, prescriptions, costs, and plan benefits can change. We can review your current coverage and see whether it still fits your needs.
Losing Employer Coverage
Retiring or leaving employer-sponsored insurance? We can help you understand your Medicare enrollment deadlines and avoid unnecessary gaps or penalties.
In addition to the standard Medicare enrollment periods, many individuals may qualify for a Special Enrollment Period (SEP) based on certain life events or other qualifying circumstances. We'll help determine whether you're eligible.
These may include:
Your Initial Enrollment Period when you first become eligible for Medicare
The Medicare Annual Enrollment Period
The Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period
A Special Enrollment Period following certain qualifying events
Enrollment opportunities related to Medicaid, Extra Help, relocation, loss of coverage, or other circumstances
Enrollment rules vary based on your situation. We can help you determine which enrollment opportunities may apply to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does it cost anything to work with Holland Solutions Insurance?
There is no additional cost to meet with us and receive help reviewing available Medicare plan options.
Do I have to change my doctors?
Not necessarily. Provider access depends on the type of coverage and specific plan you choose. We can check your doctors, hospitals, and other providers before you make a decision.
Will my prescriptions be covered?
Each prescription drug plan has its own list of covered medications, known as a formulary. We will review your current prescriptions, dosages, and preferred pharmacy when comparing plans.
Can I have Medicare Advantage and Medicare Supplement insurance at the same time?
No. Medicare Supplement insurance works with Original Medicare. It cannot be used to pay the deductibles, copayments, or other costs of a Medicare Advantage plan.
Do I still pay my Medicare Part B premium?
Generally, you must continue paying your Medicare Part B premium. Depending on the coverage you select, you may also pay an additional plan premium. However, there are many scenarios to this answer. It’s best we discuss your situation to give you an exact answer.
Can you help me if I am still working?
Yes. Medicare decisions can be different when you or your spouse are still actively employed. We can help you understand the questions you should ask before leaving employer-sponsored coverage.
Can you help me after enrollment?
Yes. Our relationship does not end when your application is submitted. We remain available to answer questions and help you review your coverage as your needs change.
